A golden autumn day, a joyous gathering. On October 13, 2019, the "Lusheng Cup" "My Story with Potato Starch Noodles" essay contest awards ceremony was grandly held at Anqiu Huatao Food Co., Ltd.
Attendees included: Niu Zhongshun, former deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Weifang University; Zhu Jianxia, member of the China Writers Association and one of the first contracted writers in Weifang; Li Xiaomin, former vice chairman of the Anqiu Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Zhu Jinsheng, deputy director of the Anqiu Municipal Committee of the Propaganda Department and chairman of the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles; Li Lianke, former director of the Anqiu Municipal Bureau of Culture; Cui Guojie, deputy secretary of the Xin'an Street Party Committee; Pan Hongxin, president of the Anqiu Poetry and Couplet Association; Zhou Qingwu, secretary of the Party branch of the Anqiu Writers Association; award-winning authors, media reporters, Lusheng Group leaders, and all employees of Huatao Food.
To fully excavate traditional food culture, enhance brand effect, promote corporate culture, and foster harmonious and rapid development, Lusheng Group, in collaboration with the Anqiu Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Weifang Daily, and the Anqiu Poetry and Couplet Association, jointly held the "Lusheng Cup" "My Story with Potato Starch Noodles" essay contest to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. From April 18 to August 8, 2019, the contest received 403 essays, over 500 poems, and 2040 slogans from across the country (excluding Tibet and Qinghai). The wide reach, large number of submissions, and deep love for potato starch noodles are truly moving. The organizing committee invited renowned writers and poets to form a judging panel to anonymously evaluate the entries based on quantity and quality. After initial plagiarism checks, the entries were comprehensively evaluated based on theme, writing skills, innovation, and corporate culture, selecting outstanding works based on merit.
The entries were close to life, with delicate brushstrokes and many excellent pieces. Essays varied in style, some humorous, some sentimental, some expressing a deep love for potato starch noodles, some affirming, praising, and blessing Lusheng Group, and many evoking memories related to potato starch noodles. The poems were concise, with many moving lines, such as: "After school, I often peeked at the drying noodles, drooling as I walked back and forth over the fence. Now, I hear of Lusheng's noodles, no less fragrant than those of the past." Many excellent slogans were also received. "Carrying a century of craftsmanship, making top-quality potato starch noodles" is a great example from the contest.
The awards ceremony was well-organized and enthusiastic. The ceremony included performances, such as a fast-talking performance of "Lusheng Potato Starch Noodles are Good" by a 75-year-old woman, and a poetry recitation of "Lusheng Potato Starch Noodles, Lyricism or Monologue" by an award-winning modern poet. The entire event revolved around expressing feelings and intentions related to Lusheng potato starch noodles.
